SWEATER WEATHER

Let me just start off by saying how comfortable this outfit is! Between the oversized sweater and the faux leather leggings I seriously felt like I was in my pajamas all day long. We had some cool weather last week (nothing crazy but I'll take it!) so I decided it was sweater weather and had to take full advantage.

How cute are the color blocked stripes on this sweater? This sweater was popular last Fall so they released it in new colors this year, you can pick up this exact one here (be sure to use the code FANCYTHINGS for 10% off!) Also, Happy Halloween!! How are you celebrating?? Have a safe and fun weekend! xo

PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

It's been awhile since I've shared a recipe on here but when you stumble upon one this good, you definitely have to share. These Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies are my new favorite! They are so easy to make and taste so good! They also made my entire house smell like Fall, which is equally as amazing. I'll definitely be making more and might make it into a loaf next time.

Let me know if you whip up a batch of these yummy cookies! Be sure to tag me @fancythingsblog so I can like/comment on your photos. Is there a recipe you like to make during this time of the year? I want to know what it is! Happy almost Halloween!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter
1 cup brown brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 tablespoons pumpkin purée
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips (I used 1/2 semi-sweet, 1/2 milk chocolate)

Directions:

- Combine the butter and sugars until mixed well (mixture will be thick).
-Add the vanilla and pumpkin and mix until smooth.
-Combine all the dry ingredients and add to the rest mixing just until combined.
-Stir in the chocolate chips.
-Bake rounded balls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350ºF for about 12-17 minutes or just until they start to puff up a little.
-Cool slightly before removing from pan.

EASY FALL STYLE

Happy Monday! I recently picked up the coat I'm wearing for our trip to Savannah and Charleston next week. It actually comes with a faux furr hood but can easily be removed! How amazing is that? It also has a sweatshirt-like material on the inside of the coat (so it's really comfy!) This past weekend, I wore the coat over one of my favorite gingham button downs & skinny jeans without the furr hood attached. I really love this casual look for Fall, It's so effortless + chic. What do you think? I hope everyone had a great weekend!

PUMPKIN PATCH

Last weekend we visited the cutest little farm. It was about 20 minutes away but well worth the early morning drive. The farm had a few pumpkin patches, a petting zoo, paddle boats + more! Both the weather and scenery were beautiful so naturally we had to take lots of pictures. We explored a bit and grabbed some smoothies from a food stand on the way out. I love this time of the year! Can you believe Halloween is just 7 days away? I'm still undecided on a costume! What are you all dressing up as? I need ideas! Have a great weekend!

ON MY RADAR

SCARF (20% OFF WITH THE CODE: ACTFAST) / SUNGLASSES / HAT / BOOTS (25% OFF!) / PENDANT / LIPSTICK (BETTE) / WINTER 2014 NAIL POLISH

Plaid blanket scarves and over the knee boots are two of the biggest trends this Fall season. Last year I purchased the highly coveted blanket scarf from Zara only to realize I can't wear a scarf like that here in Miami (I might die, ha!) luckily I'm traveling in a couple weeks (We're headed to Savannah & Charleston. So excited for that trip!) so I'm hoping I'll be able to wear some of my Fall favorites there. The scarf pictured above is Kate Spade and happens to 20% off right now! The sale ends today, so grab it while you can.

What's on your radar right now? Be sure to tell me in the comments below! xo
